Walk for the Animals Schedule of Events

3:00-3:45

Participant Check-in: If you plan to walk for our Walk for the Animals, check-in anytime between 3:00-3:45pm at our booth. If you need to register on the day of, you will pay your registration fee during this time. For registrants who participated in our pledge fundraising (THANK YOU!) you will turn in your paper pledge form with any cash or check donations you received.

Let's get walking! Our walk, or run if you wish, will begin at 4pm. The distance with equal a 5k and will include 3 laps around our "track". We will have a clock available at the finish line for those who are interested in knowing their time. 

4pm-7pm

Food trucks and socializing! We will have food trucks available from 4-7pm for walkers to enjoy some food after the walk or for community member's to come on down and enjoy some great food and mingle with fellow animal lovers. In previous years, we have done an annual community picnic, this will take place of the picnic so we hope everyone can come on down and enjoy some time together.

Register for the Walk

 Join us and fellow animal lovers to raise funds for animals in need. Register, raise funds, bring your furry friend (or not) on our walk, and support animals in need. 

Pre-Register for the event and become a part of a team to raise funds to support PCHS. Registration is $35. With your registration, you will receive a pledge tracking form, an online pledge profile where your supporters can donate directly towards your fundraising page, free t-shirt (if registered before 9/1), free goodie bag.  Pledge fundraising is optional but with your pledges, we can raise even more money to help our cause.

There will door prizes and prizes for: Top 3 fundraisers, best dressed dog, and more.

We are looking for support from local businesses through sponsorships to help support this year’s 1st Annual Walk for the Animals. 

Your generous contribution will enable us to provide our animals with food, shelter, and medical care and help us meet their social and behavioral needs. Our work to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the many animals in need is dependent on the generosity of our donors and supporters. We cannot do it without you!

To guarantee placement on marketing and promotional tools for the Pope County Humane Society Walk for the Animals, please purchase or submit your sponsorship payment by September 1st, 2025

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal! Rally animal-loving friends and family for support. 

You don't need to raise money to attend the walk, but your financial support will provide our animals with food, shelter, and medical care. 

 It will also help us to meet animal's social and behavioral needs.Our work to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the many local animals in need is dependent on the generosity of our donors and supporters. If you choose to fundraise, you’ll not only be making an impact on the lives of animals and increase awareness of Pope County Humane Society in our community, but you can also score some great prizes! We will be awarding prizes to the Top 3 fundraisers.

  1. Sponsor yourself first for $25.
  2. Ask four family members to sponsor you for $25 each.
  3. Ask five co-workers to contribute $15 each.
  4. Ask five friends to contribute $20 each.
  5. Ask five neighbors to sponsor you for $15 each.
  6. Ask your boss for a company contribution of $50.
  7. Ask three businesses you frequent to donate $25 each.

If you register for the walk, you will automatically get a "member" page for our event giving platform. You can have your family and friends donate directly to your member page! You member page can be found on our event page and we will also email you your page's URL once you register!
